Default Headlight Assembly: 04-06 vs. 07-08

Hello all,

Wondering whether the 07-08 headlight assembly will work in a 04-06. I have some pictures to illustrate the differences:

07-08 assembly:

04-06 assembly:

The pictures are of the adjustment mechanism of each assembly. My question is: will a 07-08 headlight assembly work in a 04-06? My guess is yes as long as it can be adjusted manually...it looks as the 07-08 has some kind of electronic module to adjust it rather than manual?

Can anyone with a 07-08 chime and explain how the headlight adjustment is made on their crossfire?

This looks like the only differences between the two versions.

Thanks in advance.

I think you'll find that the 'odd' one is a European or UK model.
You could check that by cross referencing the part numbers.
They have to lower automatically when the car is loaded and tilts the lights up or something like that.

Thank you for the response.

The part numbers are off by 1 digit only. 68024631AA(04-06) vs 68024632AA(07-08)

I just want to know if the tilt on the 07-08 version can be adjusted manually? If so I don't think there will be any problems using it on an 04-06. Can anybody help me out with this? I would greatly appreciate it.

My educated guess would be, yes, it has to. Also, check out the Allen head socket atop the drive motor case. That there sells it for me.

Fitment is not a problem at all between the two types. The difference is the "aiming" mechanism used. The latter years look cleaner and are easier to adjust compared to the older version.

What makes you think that they are from different years.
I have checked the 68024631AA and 68024632AA and they appear to be Export models.
Check this site.
If you are in Mexico it might be OK, as one appears to be cheaper by 1/3.

Also see this thread.
PM the OP and ask him what happened. He never posted back and let us know the outcome. I hate it when you try and help and they never let you know the outcome.
