Default Suggest some floor mats for a student (price wise) :)

Good evening everyone!

I'm looking for decent floor mats for my Crossfire. I searched some of the threads and saw some beautiful images of some very nice and high quality mats with "Crossfire" on them or simply the Chrysler wing but I'm a grad student and after getting hit with this semester's tuition I unfortunately can't afford to spend over $100 for the mats!
It would still be so nice to have some that at least snap onto the buttons that hold them down and look somewhat classy. I also don't know if I should go with carpet or plastic? I live in Florida so it's not like my shoes are always dirty or wet!

Thank you very much for your suggestions! I appreciate everything you guys have done for me and all the quality advice I have received. It's been great to be welcomed to this community in such a nice way!

Nick

Have you checked eBay? There appear to be lots of OEM Crossfire floor mats around the $100 price point. If you are near Lakeland, the Dodge dealership there seems to have reasonable prices on Mopar parts, especially if you don't have to pay shipping. If I am not mistaken, the dealership does business as Mopar Part World. The OEM floor mats (p/n 82208249) list for $130 but they sell them for $100.

Happy hunting and good luck in grad school.

I bought some quality aftermarket mats from Lloyds but they were around $100 as well with the logos...

That being said, it looks like you might be able to get some basic ones for closer to $50 http://www.jcwhitney.com/frameset/?p...fire&year=2004

Definitely beautiful mats and sure good to be able to use the buttons in the floor to tie them down but damn, even the cheap ones run almost $100 bucks!

To use the buttons on the floor you will probably have to buy the winged Mopar mats. You can find generic mats much cheaper at places like Pep Boys, Autozone or Advanced Auto parts but they will not be exact fit. A cheaper solution would be to go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy some plastic carpet runner and cut your own. Won't look as nice but it will protect the carpet.

I bought the winged mats for around $100.00 but I only use them for shows. For regular use I bought a pair of black carpeted mats from Big Lots for like $12.00. I don't drive the car in the rain to often so they work great.

Ha, same ones I have and they're great. Just hose them off when they're dirty and they catch everything.

Those look very nice and the price is right too!!

Don't necessarily need them though because I live in Florida but those are the easiest to take care of I bet and they probably last a long time too.
I know you guys are probably going to hate me for this but I was at Target's and found a nice pair of black floor mats for $14 - Of course they are not as high quality and also don't have the buttons to tie them down but they actually look pretty nice for a low budget guy!

One of these days I'm going to buy the original pair though as I love the looks of them and the ones that say "Crossfire"!
