05 N/A Roadster limited, 55k. This tick sounds like two drumsticks hitting, but much quieter. Sounds like it's coming from under the dash. First one side, then the other, maybe 5-8 seconds apart. They come and go at random. It never happens when it's idling. Weird. ???

 

Its the mouse in the squirrel cage rocking back and forth. LOL

 

There is a tick from the middle dash at start-up as the system checks the passenger air bag and turns it off if no one is in the seat (I read that somewhere and hope it is correct - mine certainly ticks, though). If it happens at random intervals after that, I cannot help.

 

Yes mine makes the ticking noise at start up only when someone in other seat !

 

stand back from the vehicle........tick tick tick tick tick.....especially if you haven't paid your gambling debt this week...just sayin'
