E55 AMG v8 in N/A Crossfire
Hey guys,
I have the opportunity to buy a really great condition E55 AMG v8 engine for a steal and have been considering putting it in my N/A Crossfire. Besides the engine itself, what else I would have to add/change to install it? i.e. E55 ecu?, tranny? Etc.
Thanks!

i would elaborate here but to much detail to discuss pm me any questions you have i only believe myself and 2 other forum members have done the e55 i could be wrong though
NA or Kompressor?
If it's the 03+ Kompressor model then the engine is only half your battle, if that. There's a ton of things you have to change.

It's a 2000 E55 na v8. Would it be easier with this engine? I haven't heard of anyone in Canada doing the conversion so I'd be interested in being the first Canadian with a v8 Crossfire.
Yes, it's a million times easier with an NA V8. That would be awesome.
Canadian V8 crossfire! Faster than bluecoupe! hehe
if you want three things 1. "worlds fastest crossfire", 2. get it now without the work.3. get the best built V8 crossfire ,
24000 miles on the engine, 7000 miles on special built transmission. no brake downs in 4 years of having the V8, I want to build a V12 twin turbo so if you buy this i can add $$$ and build a V12
$40,000.00 yes it is street driven , in fact i take it to the drag strip and run 10.72 @ 133 and then my wife drives it to go shopping. this is #3 car that was built by Rudy and is in my opinion is the best and only way to go. jim
here are the 4 V8 built by Rudy. the black one without head lights was finished in July 2014 , my black one was finished in 2010 and has been driven 25000 miles, including two trips from Ft. Lauderdale Fl. to the Dragon.
