Default Help!!! Crossfire Mechanic needed near WPB, FL

Please help me, if you can recommend a good, honest and reasonable mechanic to work on a 2005 Crossfire Convertible. I know very little about cars and I feel that the dealership is ripping me off. My a/c and heat no longer work. I was told that it's the blower and the dealership wants to charge $899.00 to fix it. The oil changes are $149.00. I have a little over 104,000 miles on this car. I purchased it new. I really need help. That's why I joined this forum. Thanks.

So you don't hear the blower when you turn it on any of the fan speed settings?

That is a very unrealistic number to change a blower. I have not changed one in the XFire, hopefully someone who has changed on in a XFire will give info.
Dealer must think that they have to tear all layers of dash out and both bumpers.
$149 for oil change?
2 jugs exact oil reccomended $25 apiece
higher end oil filter $15-$20
The shop that does mine even checks the trans oil in a 6 spd (plug, no dipstick) and rear end oil and vacuum the carpet for $30

if u want to go to Ft Lauderdale DT preformance at 345 s state road 7 plantation 33317 we can do the oil and we know who can do the air just in case it is not the resistor switch. ,,,most likely the blower is ok it just needs the blower switch, located on the blower. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-SLK32-AMG-A-C-Fan-Blower-Motor-Resistor-SLK320-SLK350-HVAC-Heater-/291181588265?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43cbc66f29&vxp=mtrcan't give you a price here but if you bring the car down ,the resistor takes about 5 days cause we also get it off e bay for 30. . getting it local cost around $100

oil change ,,8qt of oil is about 80 filter is about 20 so about 100for the o ilchange. I may not be there but just tell george you are with the crossfire forum and you know me ,,,jim
