Blinker blinking fast, bulb ok, broke assembly need part
Hello everyone!
My blinker was blinking fast (front right) so I pulled the assembly and realized the little metal strip was not making contact. Had heard about it here on the forum so I tried the fix by pulling out the metal strip slightly but metal connector broke in half.
Where can I get the assembly? I don't have a soldering iron to "bridge" the contact so I would like to just by the assembly the bulb rests in. Thanks for your help.

It's the socket that holds the turn signal light bulb in. There is a metal strip that gets brittle on older Crossfires and doesn't make connection anymore. It is usually enough to pull the strip out slightly so it makes connection again but on mine, when I did that it just fell apart.
I'm sure it could be fixed with a soldering iron but I don't have one and so I went looking on ebay. There are several vendors who sell Xfire parts and most of them did not want to sell me the socket seperately as it is part of the light assembly. Finally found one who is good and I got some parts from in the past. He charged me $10 for the sockets + bulb. Interestingly, his comes from a 2007 Xfire and the socket looks more solid!
Glad I found him as from what I read on the forum these parts are very hard to find since they aren't made anymore.

My roadster had this problem. Ordered one from chrysler, but never got it. I finally soldered the old one. I noticed the coupe had a different vendor. The socket looked to be built better...
Look at the part and look for a maker and a part number. Then do a search, a similar socket was found this way some time back. Failing that go to a wrecker and look at scrapped MBs etc.
This was said to be the socket and then it was found not to fit even though the part number was the same. Check your part number. Is it the one mentioned here?
