Default turbo

hey guys, i heard from somewhere that the only difference between a srt6 and a normal crossfire is the heads. so if this is true that means i could change the heads then turbo or supercharge the motor and run higher boosts. I hope to god this is true. if anyone knows let me know!!!

It sounds good but if it were just that easy, there would be a lot of them done, considering the ingenuity of the forum members. If I remember correctly, there was some good info on the Mercedes forum concerning the difference between the N/A and the Kompressor versions of the 3.2 engine.

Different internals in the motor too, like the pistons for starters.

Little things like that (internals) don't matter...

Don't matter as long as 'internals' remain so, and do not become externalized.

Strapping a turbo or supercharger on an n/a engine in the "old" days was easy. There days with integrated ECUs it is a challenge if not near impossible. And, yes, the SRT6 engine was strengthened to handle the s/c and the n/a engine is not. But unless you really crank the boost that should not be a showstopper. As stated, if you read the posts, you'll find the cheapest and best approach is to sell the n/a and buy an SRT6.
