Default Wierd thing with the power door locks

Didn't notice this when I bought the SRT but the drivers side 'push down' button, will not push down, not even with a lot of pressure. The passenger side button pushes down easily. In addition, the console PDL switch will not lock either door, but when the Pass side lock button is pushed down manually, the console PDL switch will unlock it. It gets better, the remote keyless, key FOB locks and unlocks both doors properly. Anybody else ever have a problem like this?

I never had to push mine down. It autolocks when the car moves. It unlocks when I pull the doorhandle. If I have to unlock the passenger door or trunk, I use the button in the console.

Goldwing, Thanks for the response. This morning I spent some time re-reading the owners manual about the power lock system. It now seems that everything is working as it should. Key in door lock, remote key fob, console switch, all ok.

According to the manual , the drivers door will only lock manually when closed. Was it open or closed?

That was part of what I learned this morning. I had been trying to push the drivers side lock button down with the door open, as soon as I closed the door the button pushed down easily.
