Interesting customized Crossfire I saw Friday night
I went to the Starlight car cruise in Wexford, PA last Friday night.
Starlite Car Cruise
There was another Crossfire there that was highly customized, some of the alterations weren't my style, but it was done very well. Some things I noticed

Starlite Car Cruise
There was another Crossfire there that was highly customized, some of the alterations weren't my style, but it was done very well. Some things I noticed
- Taillights were removed and body finished over. Very impressive!
- Shaved handles
- STR6 wing added below stock wing (odd angle)
- Liftgate extended to below license plate!
- Custom paint, with pinstriping
- Louvered hood (each louver was pinstriped) I really liked that!
- Funky street rod mirrors (I wasn't a fan of those)
- Let rear light added into bumper
- Air ride suspension, controls and gauges hidden in armrest/console
- Nice wheels
- Custom exhaust outlet (I wasn't a fan of that either)

Not a fan of the 2 tone red. Almost gives the impression that they tried to color match and failed terribly. I can very much appreciate all the other work that was put in tho.
I dont know whats more depressing, the 2 tone red XF, or the non 440 Cuda.....
I agree, not a fan of the paint but it is unique. Also, the tail light mod is illegal here in Pa. although the look is cool. All in all, a nice job.
I did tell them about this forum, hopefully they will join. It was a quality job that is for sure. The 2 tone colors looked much better in person.
I admit to liking how the SRT6 rear wing follows the body line. The positioning looks more factory stock than the actual factory stock positioning. The taillamps being body color also accentuate the beautiful flow of the body.
And the taillamps are not body color, they were removed entirely, that is all steel bodywork on the quarter. Very nice job of it.
For the thousands of members on this site representing so many Crossfires, I am still surprised how many more there are out there that are so unique.
A lot of work went into that car.
The taillight relocation sure makes the rear end look wider to me. I'm not a big fan of mixing the two reds though. Instead of bright red, I think I would have used a darker metallic red down the center. But then it's not my dream car, it's his.
I've considered several "alternative" rear spoiler designs myself, but it's been several years, and I still haven't come up with one I'm willing to commit to.
Would really like to see it in person someday. I hope he joins the forum.
Thanks for posting it Pioneer.

I totally missed the extended liftgate until he pointed it out to me. The license plate is part of the liftgate now.

Down to basic truths...
Credit should be given to his approach of the tail lights. Not what I am looking to do but, VERY good as long as he likes it. The two tone paint is awful, Not going in to paint hues.
He never took it to a PinStriper, he should have.
The mirrors are for a car half its size and 50 years older, And White?
Good luck selling it for what he has in it...

True, but they needn't be the size of stop signs...
