Talking Damaged spleen, loose fillings, detached retina...

Damage due to excessive bass distortion . . .

Well today I added the crossfire audio fix to improve the sound of the audio system. My 2003 durango has sounded lousy and today I used a couple of 500ufd caps in series with the speakers.

When i got the durango, i cut out the woofer the first week, a gain but not enough still mushy audio - terrible audio overall.

The acoustic abuse was unrelenting even at -9 bass. You could not advance the volume without having a terrible booming and general mush.

Now the audio is much better and you can understand what is going on, intelligible overall.

Iam 68+++++ and love to listen to XM channel #38, OZZY, Motorhead, Pantera, Motley crew and such. Now it is possible to really crank it up.....This is a great addition to most cars, the crossfire too.

Most communication systems carry audio from 500 Hz to about 3000Hz where the information is concentrated. Below 300 Hz is great at the gun range.

This is one idea I support 100%, Enjoy. WDY

Personally think XM sounds flat to begin with, more like AM. A good CD or via bluetooth from my cell phone sounds much better.

May pick up some 500 mikes and see what happens but same combo sounds good in all of my cars.

ps "old" ?

Never had any complaints with the sound in my SRT6 but I prefer Tschaikofskys' 1st Piano Concerto or Russell Watson. I do have a lot of 60's and 70's CDs in the car. I know, weird, huh?
