Default How to remove gear ****

Does anyone on here know how to remove the gear **** on a manual crossfire and how easy it is?

Lift the leather boot/trim piece up. The base of the **** unscrews and the **** will lift off the shaft. Mine was loose enough to unscrew by hand.

Glad you got your answer, you could have had it sooner if you had entered 'remove gear ****' in Search.
This has of course been asked and answered before.

I know it is answered but the first pictures in this How To shows the shift boot removal - do not use a screwdriver though, use a plastic trim stick or some think like it.
