Default V8 Conversion question

Can anyone tell me what transmission can be married up to the V8 supercharged SL55/E55 engine? Obviously this needs to fit into the crossfire body. Asking because I have been offered a good engine including ecu and sensors.

Thanks in advance

I can see doing a V8 mod on the N/A but I'd not do that to an SRT. The SRT is already a hell of a car.

As to your question, well, the answer might be in one of the V8 conversion threads here - if not, I'd say you've got to wait for the expertise to show up to answer THAT question.........

Your stock SRT-6 transmission is kinda on the weak side for a modified SL55 engine. A valve body upgrade would help compliment the SRT-6 transmission. Rudy (Accelerated Industries) can answer all your questions. He chose not to use my modified SRT-6 transmission for the SL55 Carrillo-Weistec engine build that he's dropping into my SRT-6. Rudy chose to build up a modified transmission pulled from a V-12 cylinder Mercedes. Squirrel Crusher

Wouldn't hurt my SRT, but I also own a 6 speed limited which isn't running great anymore after 10 years and I have some spare time for a project

Dropping any series 55 with transmission into a Limited is only a starting point. Then comes the required upgraded air intake, fuel system, extra cooling, wiring, tuning, larger front brakes, heavier front coil springs, ground control rear suspension, unitrax wavetrax rear end,new Kelvar driveshaft disk's. I'm sure I'm forgetting lots of other required upgrades necessary. Squirrel Crusher
