Default Magazine Article - American Car Collector (SepOct-2017)

Attached is an article in the current issue of American Car Collector about the Crossfire. Author makes a statement about the coupe becoming more valuable than the roadster among purists, based on overall styling. Author's take on whether the Crossfire has reached (or will reach) collector status is somewhat accurate (MHO). Interesting reading.

Nice article, well researched and written except the part about the SRT6 having 'upgraded' wheels at 18" front and 19" rear, could have just said "differently styled wheels".

Yeah - I saw that when I first read the article. Especially since the author stated "upsized". Just a point that the author didn't know all the particulars of the marque. But like you, I enjoyed the article. And I found it interesting that the Crossfire would get special recognition in a magazine whose audience is primarily car collectors.

His warning about where NOT to buy a Crossfire reads like someone who knows what he's talking about.

Overall, I'd give the piece an "A".

Interesting, thanks.

I think they are a great car and surprised they didn't sell better?

Thanks for posting this. I am pleased as ever with my single-owner roadster with a stick and like what I read about the coupes and SRT6s being more desirable. I win on both although these are keepers and not investments. Each is driven all summer, than prepped and stored for the winter.

The 'good news' about the Crossfire: they're Rare

I would say rather "They are unknown." - at least among collectors (but is interesting how many AACA members have one).

Wonder if the value of my '07 limited coupe with 6 speed just increased ? $1.98 maybe ?

Don't some call it the forgotten supercar?
Sure I heard that somewhere.

No matter how carefully I look, there isn't much to be had on the subject of the Crossfire in automobile magazines. And this includes the many European periodicals that Chapters (Canada) stocks. This, then , was a pleasure to read. Thanks for sharing.
