Are they making a new crossfire?
Is this true??? Is Chrysler considering reviving the crossfire?

I love my Crossfire but this statement is a bit off. Chrysler had a heck of a time with Crossfire sales. That is why our cars are so rare. "the brand is considering bringing back the Crossfire. The luxury sports coupe is a really popular car back in the day".

How many times do companies say "we are not going to do that and we are never going to do it". Then a week later they announce they are doing it.

Stick to the point and don't get distracted by the details of the way it was written. The point is the rumor that Chrysler is going to revive the crossfire. This is the second time I saw an article making this claim.
None of my contacts are aware of the Crossfire name being revived. If anything, the hybrid AWD referred to in the article will be a crossover/SUV and be called Portal.
Besides being poorly written and incorrect, the subject article is purely speculative and intended as "filler" for a slow news day.
FCA has their hands full with the struggling Fiat & Alfa brands, and does not have the $ resources to launch a new sport luxury coupe.
Remember that outside of this forum, the name Crossfire = sales disaster.

I wouldn't put it past Fiat to rebadge a 124 (ahem, Mazda) as a Chrysler. I wouldn't even be suprised if they did revive the Crossfire name, as they seem (at least in the EU) obsessed lately with reviving cars of yester-year (Tipo, Uno, 124 etc.)
Auto makers like to reintroduce the name of a car model that was previously a huge success, has Ford tried to re-use the Edsel name?
There's your answer.
There's your answer.
Well the Edsel didnt really have a fanbase and was pig ugly anyway .
Our forum is known as the home of the crossfire s "fanatical fanbase' yes i read it somewhere and its true, but the fact is the crossfire Still Attracts people even Now .
The reviews of it as being a used sports car Bargain are many and growing.
The predictions of its "collectability" are numerous and prices are not tumbling as they were.
I am sure FCA are aware of the 'cred' that the xfire has these day i dont believe the form email from FCA indicates anything one way or the other .
They are not going to say anything ..yet.

I don't see a reprise of the Chrysler Crossfire brand. However, if I'm wrong I don't see it as anything like what we now drive.
Our Crossfire could morph into a sports SUV for FCA , (crossfire 2 and crossfire 4 -wd ? ) thats where the profits are now.
If they did it right .
FCA, if your reading, keep some of the art deco retro style of the original and make it seriously competitive in performance vs dollar.
That Maserati Levante (diamonte?) is an overblown thing , and FIATs 124 rebadged Mazda effort good as it handles it really doesnt GO very well . Not as good as an NA crossfire!
How many other names does chrysler have that are as interesting as 'crossfire'?
Cordoba ? haha i jest.
