Default OBD2 Scan Spam?

Just got a private message from xiangguoxiangqing @ gmail.com

Starts out:
Hi Reliableron,
Thank you for your time. I am Ella from a big company. We specialize in high quality OBD2/EOBD Scanners that allow users to diagnose their automobiles easily. I am reaching out to you on the possibility of getting an editorial review for our featured Auto Code Scanner on this forum.
She asks for link to site and user name - seems like she already has it!!

Sure it is a scam
member MAALI318 - "Ella" needs to have her account shut down. Mods?

I, on the other hand bit the bullet and gave it a shot.
They say then are sending me a free scanner for evaluation.
( they gave me a choice of one of four models )
We'll see.

Be interesting to see what happens, when I ordered my mesh grille from Deutchland was surprised when on arrival FedEx charged me and extra $12.50 for "duty".

Actually, the units I had a choice of were all much cheaper versions of the CRP 123 I already have, from the same manufacturer.
I chose this one :
Amazon Amazon

I reported it to Gary. I am sure there is something nefarious about it, but you never know.

Maybe George will be the East Coast USA distributor of the product that can finally reprogram our engine fan temperature.

I reported it to Valk when I got mine and by the large number of people that received this offer it looks like I did the right thing.

Probably so, and I have no doubt I will most likely regret responding to them.
Time will tell, I do have good security on all my stuff.
