Default Bad rear control arm bushings?

Has anyone had their rear control arm bushings go bad in their Crossfire? Brought the car to a shop for state inspection and they said the rear passenger side control arm bushings were cracking and need replacement. The car drove absolutely fine...very tight suspension, no shakes, vibrations or strange noises at any speed. The shop claimed the car was too dangerous to drive home. Does this sound right? Just curious to see if anyone else ran into this. If the bushings are bad, would there be any noticeable signs of it driving the car?

Thanks!

Sounds bogus to me. Never heard of these bushings needing replacement.

Thanks for the response. I'm not sure what to think of it... Just seems weird that there would be absolutely no signs of a bad suspension part.
