How does ambient temperature sensor mount in lower grill?
My ambient temperature sensor was missing from my 2004 Crossfire. I purchased one, plugged it in, and it worked. However, there appears impossible to mount in the correct metal bracket made for it. The hole inside the bracket is too small. The tip of the sensor barely fits through. Is there another bracket piece that mounts the wired sensor to the metal bracket.I believe this sensor is common to all Crossfires, this why I listed this question here. Any help appreciated.
The pointy end fits through the hole in the lower grill on my SRT6. So it gets placed in the bracket from the front, then plugged in. Hope this helps.
I think you are saying that you insert the sensor into the hole in the bracket from the front with the plug into the bracket. Then you take the wired other side and plug it into the now mounted sensor from the rear. That is logically the
only way I thought it would mount, too. Problem is that when I look into the bracket hole, it is way too small for the sensor plug side to fit into the bracket hole. Only the pointy end fits through through the tiny hole. Of course, then there is nothing holding the sensor into the bracket . How much does the sensor stick out the front of the grill when properly mounted?

Thank you. It looks like I am missing the black plastic bracket that the sensor fits into, which then attached to the metal piece which is what I have been attempting to get the sensor to fit through!
