They are like belly buttons, every Crossfire has one.
Just saves foam and gives some extra storage space.

That is where you store your spare crank sensor, rachet/extention/socket to change the crank sensor; spare bulbs and tire plug kit.

Everything else (detail spray, a few tools, alcohol, tire pressure gauge, spare bottle of oil, window cleaner, paper towel, tie wraps, digital multimeter, etc.) all go in a small cardboard box in the trunk.

I found this plug (?) on the floorboard near the driver's left foot pad after I got home from having my annual state vehicle inspection. I can't see where it fits in and couldn't find it in the manual. Can someone point me in the right direction?

It looks like it has something to do with one of the twist lock fasteners on the left side dash door

You nailed it. I had that same piece break off on my 04 coupe.

That's it. Thanks for pointing me to it.

I was able to cleanly cement it back into place and close that side-panel over the interior fuses. I was wondering why one of the fasteners wasn't catching and locking...and I was always in too much of a hurry to look behind the panel. I'm glad the state inspection fellow left that part on the floorboard.

Thanks again.
