There hasn't been a thread on this forum, since it is a security issue on the Web. License plates can be used if copied off Sales websites. The vast majority of the owner sales on the web have the license plate "blacked out", reducing fraud issues.

Thanks for the link.. i searched and didnt see it... I have yet to figure out how posting a pic of a tag can be any more problematic than someone seeing it in a parking lot somewhere... :-) maybe my brain just doesnt work that way....
