I read this today on Eric's Facebook page
He mentioned to me at the Woodward Dream Cruise in August this year he intended to sell the house in Michigan and head to California with his family
That is exactly what he has done
All of us who have been attending the Woodward Dream Cruise over the past several years have had the fortune to meet Eric and get his signature on our cars etc
I'm so happy we had all the times we had with him
Wishing Eric great success with his new business in California
Well, those who keep saying, "I will go to Woodward some day and meet Eric" .... should have quit putting it off!
It was certainly worth the trip to get my glove box door signed.
In about 2007 or 2008 I missed him at the Cruise for a cure car show in Southern California. Even though I was not with my Crossfire at the time, he left a note on my car saying HI.
Even with Eric not at Woodward, I gotta tell you all - you STILL should go to Woodward at least once in your lifetime.
Even apart from the Crossfire, it is a circus atmosphere unlike any other car event I've been to. You WILL see stuff there that NO ONE will believe unless you show them pictures.
I've only been to it once, but it was SO worth it.

Mark,
You are always welcome to fly back to Chicago and ride to Woodward again with me !!!
I'll take care of all your transportation needs my friend
Eric Stoddard attended the Woodward Dream Cruise for several years and was kind enough to sign our cars and other items for many who attended,
I am fortunate to own this Crossfire Banner with his signature on it,
There are many other photos in this thread from the several years when he came to our Woodward event in Michigan,
He and his family now live in California but I still do occasionally talk with him,

I was at a car show, with my Crossfire, in I believe about 2007 or 08 and was out looking at other cars. This car show had over 2500 participants. When I got back there was a note on the windshield from Eric Stoddard just saying Hi. I was so bummed I missed him. He had taken the time to let me know he had been there. Of course it was the only Crossfire in the show.

That's really cool !! Eric is a wonderful guy
Where was that car show ?
Town / State if you remember
I went every year since 1999. It was the "cruise for a cure" on the fairgrounds in Costa Mesa California. It was a great show because they had a cruise route where show cars could drive a concourse for all to see.
it had a band, vender booths, concessions and much more. Unfortunately, the organizer passed away and 2024 was the last year. It was a fundraiser for Prostate Cancer research and also provided free screenings. Many car clubs participated as well as individuals with trophy's given.
