left dash vent headlight switch bezel
Re: left dash vent headlight switch bezel
The SLK part should fit the Crossfire, but the SLK colors will not match the various colors that were offered on the Crossfire interiors, whether base, limited or SRT6.
Good Luck...

Re: left dash vent headlight switch bezel
Actually I just tried replacing my DS Air Vent bezel using an R170 SLK version. The R170 SLK Series WILL NOT FIT! There are a couple of design changes between the R170 SLK Series & the Crossfire:
1) The outer edge of the Crossfire version is straight. The outer edge of the R170 SLK Series is not; it is angled to the right. If you look closely at the R170 SLK version you will see the left edge of the air vent bezel gets thinner from top to bottom along the louver set.
2) The top of the R170 SLK version is wider to begin with than the Crossfire version. It won't fit the opening in the Crossfire!
3) Another issue between the left air vent bezels is the corner radiis are signiificantly different. The upper corners on the XFire version are smaller radiis than the M-B version.
I was wanting to replace my DS air vent bezel as the labeling is beginning to wear off after years of use & follow-up cleanings during interior detailing. So I'm going to try a couple of alternate approaches to getting the air vent bezel restored. I'll post here with any progress made.

Re: left dash vent headlight switch bezel
I have made an inquiry with a firm in NY that restores various dash bezels & control units on several exotic marques. We have only just begun to discuss the possibility of whether he can (or will) completely restore the visible appearance of the air vent bezel(s) in a Crossfire. Will keep updating this thread when appropriate. (Note: I imagine his cost for this service may be more than many of us would pay. But to get these bezels restored to "as new" condition might be worth it.)

I agree that cost to restore this bezel will probably be expensive. Afterall, this NY firm provides this service for owners of exotic cars and they don't mind paying to keep their "toys" in "like new" condition. But the guy seemed interested in looking at the left vent bezel to see whether he would be interested in pursuing this restoration service.
And besides, in his initial eMail reply to me, he stated that his father had just sold a Crossfire! So he knows what I'm talking about regarding the air vent bezel. Anyway, doesn't hurt to make an inquiry.

Re: left dash vent headlight switch bezel
Thanks for the link BlueCoupe to restore air vent/headlight switch bezel. I emailed < sales@instrument-specialties.com > to see if this is something they can do, they said no, too far behind in orders and are only doing high end cars

Re: left dash vent headlight switch bezel
There is a place not far from me in Orchard Park, NY that will refinish dash panels and laser mark the graphics. Is this the one you are referring to?

Re: left dash vent headlight switch bezel
I also want to know whether the left dash vent/headlight switch bezel from a MB slk 320 fit our crossfire and I am glad I have found your post where I found my question answer. When I was looking for it on google search, I also found https://www.topessaywriting.org/write-my-research-paper website through which I can take help to complete my essay assignments.
