AC is intermittent?
Re: AC is intermittent?
Maybe the inside temp sensor?
if I fire the parts cannon is a slk350 the correct car to pick on fcp euro? Or I am open to other sources.
Re: AC is intermittent?
Thanks for that info, that will make things easier. I am leaning toward that I probably Need a new expansion valve. Ill probably get a new dryer too. Any body have any experience with the scanner I posted before?
fcp euro doesnt list parts for a slk320, only the SLK350. Is this what I want, or does anyone have correct part numbers?

I believe the freon capacity is listed in the forum's free downloadable service manual. Make sure you do a proper vacuum on the system to draw out ALL the moisture before injecting the freon. Best if you have a gauge set, so you don't overcharge (you can damage the system). IF not. do the replacement of the parts and bring it to an A/C guy to install the freon (the parts needed to properly install the freon is VERY EXPENSIVE) Good luck!

Remember to run the engine, drive it around, whatever and get it up to full running temp under the hood. Then shut it down and hook up the vacuum pump. The hotter the engine and engine compartment is when you start evacuating the system the more moisture you'll pull out with the pump. The pump isn't just to evacuate the system of air as best it can but to also pull all moisture out of the system as well. Higher temp + vacuum = lower boiling point of water in the system under the vacuum the pump can create. You get far more moisture out of the system if you place it under vacuum when everything is hot.
