Windshield replacement for Crossfire Coupe
Does anyone know where I can obtain a new windshileld for a 2006 Crossfire Coupe? The bodyshop I am dealing with in Atlanta says they are having a hard time finding one.
Click on the attached link and it will lead you to a forum member that is selling new windshields...
Good Luck,

I had the same problem recently when looking for a windshield for a 2005 Mercedes CLK 500; Bought one from a junkyard within driving distance. The windshield I purchased was in excellent condition and original to the car. $100 well spent.
I will suggest that to the body shop in the event they can't locate a new one. I'd prefer a new windshield since they were responsible for cracking it in the first place.
When you have that windshield replaced have them take special care when putting that trim back on or you'll soon be looking for that too. It's a notorious problem with these cars.
That is a very good suggestion! The clips that hold the windshield trim in place use two sided tape. If the shop who does the windshield replacement doesn't have any in stock get some of the best available from a body shop and bring it with you. The roof trim piece comes off first, then the sides.
.
That is why i suggested a body shop and not an auto parts store. You may also try a supplier for auto paint, but I would go to a body shop and buy some from them, It only needs to be about 1 inch wide as you can put on several strips alongside each other. 3M makes good stuff, just get the right stuff.
I think the best course of action is to remove the trim yourself and reinstall it after the windshield has been replaced. You will probably be more particular then the installer.
I went to Safelite in July 2019 for my roadster and it was $377 for aftermarket glass. OEM glass was over a hundred more but it had the "right" decals. I passed and the aftermarket it clear with no defects.
