Default Windshield Molding

I'm trying to locate the center windshield molding for my '05 Ltd coupe. I lost it while travelling at highway speed and have been struggling to locate a replacement. I considered finding something aftermarket and maybe painting all the gray trim to match the body color. Would anyone know of replacement options?

Same thing happened to me... at considerably more than highway speeds! I had to source mine from a wreck on eBay.

Ebay worked out perfectly. The windshield was replaced 5 years ago, and I noticed whistling ever since, but no issues. I want to secure the molding to prevent reoccurrence, but what if I need to replace the windshield? Did you just snap the replacement on?

I have never studied the molding but it seems that they are prone to coming off after the windshield has been replaced. There is a post on here somewhere that explains what has been bent or damaged so that the molding is not held securely anymore.
Edit
See the thread 'Windshield Surround' and go to post #7 by Squirrel Crusher..
