Default Which would you buy?

I am looking for the forum's thoughts on the two cars I have been looking at. I had a PPI of both cars. One is a 2005 SRT with 35K. The Carfax shows that for the first 21K miles, it was a corporate car and had extensive service records, but after that, there was only one service record during the 15K going forward. The PPI for this car states that the shocks, tie rods, stabilizer shocks, and rear pads need to be replaced and the tires had inner-wear. I figure this car will need what is stated as a double-wrench service to make sure everything is up to date.

The other is a 2004 Limited with 7000 miles. The first owner only put 5568 miles on the car. The second owner at 6100 miles had the oil changed and the car inspected. The third owner with 7300 miles had a full inspection with the Tire pressure monitoring system reset, Brake light switch replaced, Fluids checked, Transmission fluid changed, Headlight switch replaced, Oil and filter changed, Battery/charging system checked, Engine checked, Brakes checked, Steering/suspension checked, and Lights checked.

The 2005 SRT is asking $17,000 the 2004 Limited is asking $19,000. Which would you buy and what price would you offer?

I would have additional things to consider. I would buy the roadster with a manual transmission. If neither one fits that description get the SRT.

The SRT-6, BUT take it to an independent European mechanic and get a full inspection. He should know the car is basically an AMG-32 MB. A complete inspection may give you some negotiation room & most importantly, peace of mind. Good luck!
