Default A Crossfire and the Police

There is a new tv series on A&E called, “Ozark Law”. This week while watching I perked up when even at a distance, I recognized a Crossfire driving along and then getting pulled over by an “Ozark Law” law enforcement officer.

Just for fun I took sone screenshots from our tv screen. Spoiler alert, the female Crossfire owner is let off with a warning for ‘No Front Plate’.

I live in a state where you need no front plate for which I am grateful as the New Owner ‘plate attachment’ pieces that I still have is just not as attractive as the clean look of the Crossfire front.

Ditto as to state law. I live in MI, and when I purchased my roadster I very loudly stated* I did not want the front plastic plate mounted (esp with a dealer advertising plate). When I bought my SRT6 in Illinois, it had two holes from a front plate. I had my local dealer fill them and paint the bumper. He did not promise perfection but it has lasted 17 years and is still "perfect".

*Did the same thing when I purchased my Maserati Ghlibli new in St Louis.

My front plate attachments still in their original plastic wraps. Happy to live in a wide open no-front-plate-state!

Texas requires a front plate. My truck has one, the car never will.
I have never been stopped, but then, I live in DFW and the freeways are not patrolled at all - and I put less than 600 miles a year on the car, so there's not much chance I will be stopped.
Their big thing here is cellphones, don't be seen holding a cell phone!

I'm with Pizza. My perfect SSB roadster has no holes in the front and there won't be any as long as I own the car. Since I am now a law breaker I started looking for front plates every time I go into town. 1-2 vehicles out of 10 have no front plate!

I say if the car came from the factory with no way to mount a front plate, it should be exempt.

Illinois has always required a front plate
I have had a Crossfire 18 years and have NEVER had a front plate installed
I NEVER intend to have it installed and I have NEVER been sighted for not displaying it either.
I do have the mounting bracket in plastic from the factory

Agreed…My 2004 front tag hardware is still factory sealed; let’s say it is deep in my ‘car drawer’ in original bag. May have opened it once only to re-bag!

All you radical lawbreakers who have an XF registered in a state where a front plate (and you don't mount the second plate), don't come here and whine that the officers doing their job is an AH. Too many ppl use a second plate to illegally put it on a second car. That is why the law is (when it is that is) enforced..

:ROTFLMAO ! IF you cannot take a joke, you'll reply with some kind of flaming, right?

I am in a state where U don't have to have a front plate it blocks the sunshine.
a few years ago a friend came down and had a front plate on his crossfire,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,BUT,,,
it was mounted in the grille and he showed me the brackets he made and how he mounted it with cutting or
punching holes in it he said when and if he decided to sell it ,it would have a perfect front bumper.

and thanks for the pic and info on the new show will b on the look out.

Neither do I, my friend. Every time I got stopped, I put both hands on the wheel and wait for instructions. They have quite a hard dangerous job to do (I try to help them).
