Default Crossfire etiquette

Why does it seem that when someone has a question, problem or i need of a part and the membership responds with a possible solution, not very many people acknowledges the time and effort it took to provide a answer by a simple thank you or at least post that it was looked at or helpful ???

Follow up and follow thru certainly is lacking in over half the requests made. Apparently the idiom It is what it is can be the only answer.

Personally, while the thank you and acknowledgement is nice, to me when a solution is provided, it would be nice to know that solution did or did not work. That feedback is necessary to grow our collective knowledge.

I agree, so many do not update their results to help others.

I agree. I can't speak for others, but I take a time in trying to help. Letting us know if the problem was resolved is important. Also a thank you for the time and effort would be nice.

I do not know. But I agree it is irritating.

I don't have an answer since it seems like it would be common courtesy, but I do want to thank you for taking the time to post this question ---- and to make sure you know it was read (by at least one person)
