Default Question with aftermarket radio

I have the radio wired up and sitting there, no sound. Do I have to run the amp turn on wire to the factory amp? If so any idea on what color the wire is?

yes you have to wire the amp, i couldn't tell you what color the wire is. on my kenwood it came with 2 extra wires, i think one was like grey with red stripe, and had to be added to the vw adapter. sorry i can't be more of a help!

Yes you have to. The wire in the car is black with a dark green stripe and your aftermarket deck the wire should be blue, connect those together and it will work.

Ahh... thanks for the help, that did it. Works great. The wire wasn't in the harness, there was a loose one that i had to put in. Thanks for the help.
