Default Exhaust tip question

I've got a question, I had a magnaflow muffler installed on friday, the guy said he couldn't put the stock tips on the new muffler. I am looking for pictures of or where to buy something similar to the stock look. What have you guys done when just putting a universal muffler on? Thanks.

i've seen one member using the stock tips with a single in single out magnaflow muffler ... he had a y fabricated for the tips.

another one i have seen on here in the past was two oval tips from borla... its the same tips that come on the borla system.

i say if you do not want to spend $40 - $80 per tip to get new ones just get someone that is willing to do the work to reuse the stock tips. they are high quality but require someone willing to do the extra work to hang them ... especially if you have a one in one out muffler ... if you got a one in two out muffler its rather straight forward for the welder.

What style Magnaflow did you have installed on it? Meaning it is a dual out or single out? I have a dual in dual out Magnaflow and the shop welded the factory tips back on it. I just wonder if they didn't feel like the could do a good job so he said no?

You can have any tip you want welded on. To me it seems like that shop just didn't want to try. Kind of a bummer. There are several companies that manufacture exhaust tips so you have a lot of choices out there.
