Cool Ansa Sound Clip is UP

I finally managed to get the sound clip done! This is pretty amateurish but it is the first time I have done a sound clip.

I really like that...but I also do not want to give up my factory tips. Has anyone tried swapping the exhaust (using any aftermarket piece) and fitting the stock tips to it?

Most of the universal mufflers can be adapted to use the stock tips. You have to make sure you find a universal muffler that has the same length can and the size of the pipes coming out need to be close to the same size. This wouldn't work with the Ansa because the can section is a little longer and the tips are over three inches coming out of the canister.

Mine's got a dual in dual out Magnaflow with the OEM tips affixed to it. It drones like hell but sounds pretty badass when I'm in it. You can see them in my gallery.

I explained this on the thread I started "Ansa Muffler arrived today". I paid almost nothing, but this is not repeatable. I got a deal because I was very familiar with Ansa Sport systems and was willing to be the first guinea pig. I also show the car frequently which is a plus for Ansa. www.ansaautomotive.com has a toll free number. Just ask for Gwen and she will give you a very good deal.

Sounds very nice Lantana - how is it when cruising with drone and what not?

Seems like it is pretty mild when just cruising, but lets you know it is there when your right foot stabs that skinny pedal!

I like it!

There is no Droning in the car. It is not really loud in the car at all. You can tell its there when you tip into the throttle or accelerate. It sounds really good with the window open as well. It has the OEM sound these cars should have come with (more exotic and expensive sounding). Under normal driving you will not get tired of it, but it will get your attention under heavy acceleration. This is the system for the guy who wants a really deep sweet sound without being too loud.

LantanaTX, I sent you the email with dual exhaust pics and description.

I would say that my exhaust is probably a little louder and throatier.

However, one thing I have learned about exhaust sound is that it can be very deceiving; Some days it sounds different than other days. Trying to compare to a sound coming from your computer speaker to the real sound you hear on the road is almost an impossible comparison.
