Hi guys, I'm probably going to upgrade to the Alpine ida-X100 soon and have a few questions for people who have experiences with them,

1. Does the screen have any visibility problems when there is sunlight glare?
2. does the Ipod remain charged while connected to the system? Or can you no longer listen to your ipod once the battery is dead?
3. Does the standard colour look good on the silverish Crossfire SRT6 interior? Or are we recommended to stick with the Marine model?
4. Any other notable problems?

oh and is the iDA-X100M [Marine edition] released yet? I have been having trouble finding it on the net

 

does anybody that have this unit installed know if it displays RDS?? meaning it displays the fm station on the display, or displays the song playing at the moment?? I'm looking at this hu to put in my crossfire, just trying to find everything out about it. For me, it would be a plus if it shows whats on the station your listening to just like out stock hu does. thanks for your help!

 

Did you try Crutchfields? I think people wanted these because the trim ring was supposed to be silver. Its actually more white than silver. The marine units are a good deal more expensive than their counterparts...try Crutchfield.com

 

I have the ida-X100m in my car and love it. The silver matches really well and the white is not too noticeable. When listening to the radio it only shows the station or time, no song/artist info. If your interested in a used one I am willing to sell mine.

 

Import if he doesn't buy it I will take it.
