Is an exhaust upgrade needed for a CAI ??
Hi all,
I am interested in putting a CAI into my 2004 crossfire. I am somewhat hesitant however because I once put an Iceman onto a 2000 Dodge Neon and blew the head gaskets in a matter of weeks. Granted it was a Neon, I think the CAI was too much for the restrictive exhaust the Neon had. If I put a CAI into my crossfire do i need to worry about the same thing happening. Also do CAI put more wear and tear on the engine itself... I use the car as my daily driver and can't afford to sacrifice reliability for just a few added horses and a more aggressive rev. Thank You for any help.

I wouldn't mod up a daily driver unless I was willing to pay for the repair bill that will surely be comming. But it sounds like you've already experienced that...
