Ok slowly but surely modding the white base. I have seen threads about sprint booster compensating for the pedal to throttle body lag, but is it true? I have noticed quite a lag in neutral between stomping it and waiting for the engine to respond. 250 is a lot to spend on something that might not work. thanks

I haven't bought one yet, not sure if I will.

 

in neutral? what are you doing, reving up the car in neutral then slamming it in drive? if so, your transmission is not going to last long.

as for the sprint booster, i think for the most part it is a waste of money.

 

He's not doing that. Put the car in "N" and hit the accelerator, he's not dropping the automatic from N to D

I have a SB that I got on the cheap cause I was in the same boat as you. $300 for a little electronic piece? It does make quite a difference in throttle response. I didn't realize how much of a difference it was until I drove a stock SRT6 last weekend and then hopped back in my car, 2 different cars

I installed my sprint booster three months ago. I should have done this a long time ago. You will notice a huge difference. Well worth the money. You will have a smile on your face instantly

 

I paid 310...w/ shipping...haven't installed it yet..., but, I have spent more on the Harley just to make it Bling....its a toy thing, you either want or you don't, if lag isn't a problem w/ you save your $$$... .02...

 

It defiantly makes the car more fun to drive, but that's it... there is no performance gain.

I was VERY skeptical about the SprintBooster. After all, $300 for a little chip that "simulates you pressing the gas pedal faster" is a hefty price to pay. But that's an over-simplification of what it does.

The end result is a car that responds quicker to your use of the gas pedal. It takes ALL the lag away. When you hit the gas, the engine revs immediately. It also helps with shifting down when you stomp the gas with an automatic tranny.

I am pleased with my SprintBooster. I'm glad I tried it. It makes the car a lot more pleasant to drive. It responds the way you think it should.

For anyone who is skeptical, I suggest you attend an upcoming meet and try someone's car who already has a SprintBooster.

 

no i have not tried one but the concept sounds silly to me. i would love to try one out though but chances are i will not get to. i do not think there is another srt6 within 300 miles of me lol

 

If you're going to Woodward, Carlisle or even the next Dragon, I'll let you drive mine, if you let me drive yours!

 

Same story here, $300 for a bunch of wires was hard to justify. But it was well worth it after the fact! I am glad I did it and would do it again if needed. I doubt you will be dissapointed with this purchase!

$300 spent in a lifetime is really nothing in the big picture and the years of enjoyment it will provide is priceless.
It's just a feeling of power that is not there without it.
Try a Crossfire with one and you then will see the difference.

Sorry to sound like a spokesperson but I was reluctant too.
Then I forked out the $$ and less $$ when I got mine last year and now I understand what the hype is all about.

If you haven't tried to reset the drive by wire throttle body yet check out this thread and give it a try, it makes a difference and costs you nothing. I'm sure that the sprint booster is worth it to some but maybe the throttle reset will be satisfactory to you. Good Luck
