Default other way of opening doors

Hi,

do you know if someone has ever thought of changing the mechanism of opening the doors and done this?

I think it would be kind of eye catching.

I don't think that the fabric on your roadster top would support the weight of the doors very well. But hey, go ahead and try, who am I to say. Maybe if you use enough duct tape anything is possible. Go for it.

Please post some pictures so we can all see the results.

You can install Lambo type doors on a coupe. They pivot up but not like a gull wing. Do a search for Lambo doors.

Cute dogs you've got in your gallery. Are they Bichon's or Maltese ?

I mean placing them on a coupe not in my cabriolet.

Lambo doors are nice but seems that a bunch of people have done it
earlier.

The dogs are "bichon frise". Really nice ones but they like biting to much.

I also have a Boxer, the bichon are my girlfriends.

Just razzing you on the doors.

Our Bichon was terrible about biting and chewing when he was a pup but he's really great now. He used to get into the clothes hamper. He liked to eat the crotch out of our underwear but I know some guys like to do that too. (not that there's anything wrong with that)

Wait awhile and they will be a completely different dogs.

Even on the coupe it would be impossible to do it as a gullwing as in your picture (I believe that is a Mercedes 300SL Gullwing). The main reason being is that Crossfire's do not have frames around the top of the door, its just glass.

Why not just remove the doors for that go-kart speed sensation

exactly i was going to say the same thing. as crazy as it would look it would be impossible because the coupes have glass on the top

The gull wing doors would be eye catching alright... Catching in the eye and forehead every time you try to get in.

Looks dangerous ...

If your truelly set on doing something unique with your doors and think that butterfly doors, lambo doors or vertical doors are 'played out' you can try to go for suicide doors; these are doors that open backwards. The B pillar of the car looks to be strong enough to support this.

Even if there was some way to hang "Gull Wing" doors on the Crossfire, it would be a lesson in futility. Because most any Crossfire enthusiast would be doing so to honor the Crossfires "Mercedes" heritage.
Unfortunately since Americans (in general) have short memories, this is what most people would compare it to.
