Default a new simple / tasteful mod, gps antenna cover..

if you remember i posted a few months back about my new Kenwood In-Dash with GPS by Garmin (can't say enough about the silver match, Garmin GPS is TOP notch, I LOVE this indash)

I mounted the antenna outside on the roof, just below the end of the spine. It was kinda ugly just sitting there and the wire sticking out.. so I spent 10$ on eBay and this is what I came up with..

I'm curious as to what you think.. the other option would be to re-route the GPS antenna under the center front dash where the original GPS anntenna is mounted.. this would be a major pain in the ***!!!!!

Otherwise, my dad thinks I should paint it Aero Blue.. btu the silver matches the rest of the accents wonderful so I'm not to fond of mismatching the blue paint and have something look stupid...

I think it looks good, follows the spine quite nice!

I think it's nice but would look real nice if you paint it to match the color of the car.

Concur, cool look but I would paint to match.

Think I too must follow the crowd. It looks good, but it would flow/blend in better painted to match the car.

It's interesting. One could argue either way as far as the color goes. It does look to match the other silver accents so it's consistent in that regard. From a style-line point-of-view, it would "blend" better if it was the same color as the car.. That would integrate it with the body line better and make it look like an extension rather than an addition.

It's really up to personal preference. I'd probably buy a second and have one of each...

I like it, but I'd think the painting would blend it in and allow the roof crease to go all the way to the rear window.

Can you give us a make/model number or source for it. I like it.
