Check the brake switch on the brake pedal.
Start on the simple stuff first.

When you say no-go, does that mean you confirmed the Brake Pedal Switch to be operating correctly, like with a voltmeter...???

Or possibly just a visual check to ensure it phsically engages by depressing the Pedal...???

I have yet to be in this area personally, but according to the Service Manual (page 5-53), you need to remove the Panel sitting right above the pedals.

You should see the Stop Lamp Connector, which is for the Stop Lamp Switch.

It's the connector or Switch that should be of interest...

If anyone has been here, I'm sure they'll chime in...
