Default magnaflow exhaust

just purchased magnaflow system off of ebay.
seller was asking $490.00 including shipping.
i offered $300.00 with the free shipping included.
my offer was accepted.
seller still has 4 more available.
hope it all works out.https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum.../icon_razz.gif

Sounds like a good deal if that is what you want. That system is a love-hate system. You either love it or hate it, nothing in between. It is too loud for me, but others say it is just right. I hope it serves you well.

Any cat-back system on the Crossfire Base or Limited is fairly easy. I have found that if you disconnect the OEM system at the flange first, it will release tension on the rear rubber muffler hangers making them easier to get off.

I have to agree with James, it is a love hate thing, I'm told the drone is worse in the coupe (I have a coupe) and as long as you like to drive around 3000 rpm it sounds great, at 2200 it will make you crazy same around 4500!

Istalation is exactly how James explained, it takes about 20min after you have it on blocks (that took me longer) the rubber hangers are a bit of a *****!

recieved the system friday.
this is no 20-30 min. job.
at least not on a roadster as there rear support braces on it.
would be simple on the coupe.
job done.
sound is nice.
has a more meaty sound.
i understand why some would not like it.
thanks for all the input.
as always this forum is great.

I am glad it worked out for you.

The next time I see a roadster, I will have to look under it. I can't see that brace being a big deal really.

2 or 4 12 mm bolts needing a T50 (?) Torx driver. And they are tight.

it is not a difficult job.
was fun doing it.
thanks again for all the input from this forum.
need to figure out how to post some pics as i have done carbon fiber work on engine cover and on the sides, used the cf vinyl.

I resurrected this older thread rather than starting a new one . . . I have a Magnaflow Muffler offered for sale in the Private Classifieds / Private Parts / Accessories For Sale section of the forum. This muffler has a 3" inlet which is the correct size for an SRT6 (in fact it was removed from an SRT6). I have a potential buyer from the forum who is looking at installing this muffler on his NA Crossfire. Can someone more familiar than I look at that thread and advise us on whether this muffler can be easily mounted to a NA Crossfire? While I don't personally know, it looks like he believes he will need to weld in a 2-1/2" to 3" adapter piece for this muffler. Is that correct? Will that work easily for him? I don't want to mislead him. THANKS for your assistance and for sharing your expertise . . .

I just went out to the garage and measured my old OEM N/A exhaust : it is 6 cm ( or about 2.4 " ) OD.
