Default Some toys for my diagnostic port?

Hi all, September marks the 6th month of happy ownership of my '04 coupe, which means my SnapShot device from Progressive (FINALLY) comes out lol

I've done a little research and since the diagnostic port will now be open 24/7, I'm ordering a bluetooth adapter off Amazon + the Torque Pro app next week, but I'm wondering if you folks have any good experiences or recommendations with other software and/or gadgets?

A lot of the microsoft programs don't play well with bluetooth with my experience most of the programs look for a physical connection such a a serial or USB port. If you have a way to emulate the bluetooth adapter as a serial connection you might get somewhere. But might be easier to just order a physical cable as well as a bluetooth one. I posted a link a while back in the my Torque Pro thread. MBsoft or something like that, the pirated version you can find online will work for our cars.
