Question New to Crossfires

My wife and I recently bought a 2005 red Crossfire convertible with 46K miles, great shape, we are 3rd owners. . We are still learning the buttons, switches and gauges. What a fun car to drive with it's 6 speed manual trany. I notice that when we click the remote to lock/unlock the car (Chrissy by name), the lights blink but we do not get an "audio" confirmation. Are we missing something or did it never have a sound when the remote was pressed.

My other car is a 1965 Studebaker Daytona Sport Sedan. Also fun to drive but automatic trany.
