Great Place For Sub Enclosure.
Been Trying To Figure Out Best Place For Sub Enclosure, And Save What Limited Space We Have. I Removed Foam Block Were Jack And Tire Pump Is. I Am Currently Building A Custom Fiberglass Enclosure For A 12 Inch Sub...I Will Get Some Pics. Up Soon, To Show Construction Stage.
I've thought about doing that too, but Im not sure there would be enough air space for a 12".
I also want to pull out the passenger side foam block and see how much room is on that side too.

I Calculated About 1.0 Cubic Ft. I Am Using An Infinity 12.1 Perfect Sub, Works Great With About .7 Ft Of Air Space. I Am Working Getting Some Pics. The Other Side Foam Has A Vacuum Pump Under It For Lock System, Not Condusive For An Enclosure.
That space looked like a good option if you were going to build one enclosure to the left rear (right requires you to relocate the pump for the door locks ect.). You could use some of the wheel well too you could gain some additional airspace so if you are using Kappa Perfect and not Perfect VQ then you will want 1-1.25 cft per woofer for a 12' .75 for a 10" lining every wall of the enclosure (except the woofer mounting area) with about 1" of poly fill or fiberglass insulation Power it with about 500 watts RMS from a good CEA 2006 rated amplifier and you should get some good output.
That looks pretty good Infinity!
Did you do the install yourself?
I'm an installer and do it for a living, but I think I'm going stealth on my SRT6 when it gets here.
I want to be able to use my hatch area for hauling things.

This has been a project in the works with one of our local dealers www.imagineaudio.com . We still need to do a few more things in the lighting category and a piece for logos ect for shows, some tuning is in order of the factory amp/eq circuits back at the office (even though it does sound pretty good already). I travel more now than in the past so I did not have time to build this one myself, with a little direction the team pulled off a nice design that still allows me to fit one piece of luggage in the trunk.
Hey good luck Sean. I too have removed the inner workings in the trunk area and I'm just about finished with my creation. I'll drop pics when done. Chas
