Lightbulb PhatNoise PHATBOX

Does anyone know if there is a PhatNoise PHATBOX available for the X-Fire?

Thanks to Infinity I found the Phatbox for the XF. It's made for the Becker Traffic Pro. Here's the link to Amazon, unfortunately it's out of stock right now.

Somehow I get the feeling there's parallel with the Phatbox and the XF. Great product, but not too many people know about it.

Lol ,you probably should have waited till you got one to share, knowing the people around here you may have to fight for one when it is in stock.
At least its not a playstation 3...

I think that as long as there is a plug for a CD changer, it should. Maybe Infinity has the answer for sure.

Is the LTD w/NAV a low-end model?

Just the Nav radio.

Chrysler opted for a very basic system for this car and Nav really was the only upgrade other than a marked up cd changer.

They have certainly taken a step forward on their newer vehicles crossing over from just audio to infotainment with MyGig making them the first American car company to offer such a system, and not just at the top end of the lineup. MyGig will find its way into more vehicles this year, I just wish we had a double din opening or I would have the fully blown unit with Nav and all residing in my dash.

I would call Phat Noise directly and you should be able to get one direct from them.

Yep, I'll do that. I e-mailed them about two months ago asking if they had a model for the Crossfire, and they responded that not at this time. But, this time I'm armed with better information regarding the Traffic Pro for Becker. I'm sure the person who responded was not well aware of this model.
Thanks for your help. It's very much appreciated.

Stryfox, is this your XF? If it is, who manufactured the new surrounds to match the OEM?

It is mine. I fabricated and did all the work myself.
The plastics are originals cut apart and plastic welded and epoxed to the shape I needed.
Took about 25 hours for the complete install.
Some modification was necessary behind the faceplate also to accommodate the double dinn chassis.

Oh and I am not into guys... that is a red hot chile pepper video that is on in the pic...

LOL, I'm glad you cleared that up. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
You did a great job. I assume you don't miss the air vent.

Thanks. Actually the cabin is so small I don't miss the vent at all.
If you or anyone is thinking about a similar mod, drive around with the center vent closed for a while. If you miss the vent then this one is not for you...
Seriously I blocked off the vent air tight on the inside so all the air is redirected to the other open vents so you get just as much air just not from the middle.
It actually makes the driver and pass separate climate controls work better.

I bet. I know it does not take this car long to cool or warm up. I would love such a mod, but don't think I have the talent, nor the patience to do it myself.
I just think you did a great job. It looks OEM.

The only down side of buying it directly from PhatNoice is you pay list price. All the ones on e-bay for Audi and VW, and others are between $125.00 and $250.00.

I was just contacted by a guy on e-bay, responding to my question regarding the availability of the Traffic Pro. He sells a the VW, and Audi. He thinks he could get them, but would take about a week. The price, $325.00 delivered anywhere in the US. List price directly from PhatNoice is $699.00. Before I order mine, I wanted to see if anyone else would be interested. First I'm going to confirm with PhatNoice tomorrow that it works with our radio w/Nav.

I'd be curious to know if it works with our radios.

I know some of you have taken out the head unit w/NAV out to install a CD changer, or added a new unit with NAV. Can you tell me if this plug looks like it would fit the back of the head unit? This is the cable that would come with the Phatbox, and I would like to know if it looks right. I dont know how to pull the head unit out.
