There is a special plug that lets you plug in an iPod adapter, XM or Sirius adapter and a CD changer and control them all from the dash. The iPod adapter is about $49, the XM adapter (with antenna) is about $90 and the 12 disk changer is around $150.

I may not have explained it well enough. The adapters are all for the Pioneer model - not the OEM Crossfire model.

Here is the XM adapter

Here is the iPod adapter

Here is the CD Changer

Lightbulb Re:Installing a CD changer or Ipod connector for the OEM Radio

OK, I'm giving this another try.

Has anyone installed a CD changer, or know where to get the Ipod connector for the OEM head unit w/GPS?

i just replaced my radio with the same plug. what it means is the constant power (yellow) and the switched power (red) need to be switched around or you will loose memory everytime you turn off the key.

So...I have the harness for our cars...On the harness side there is the yellow constant power wire and on the navi there is another yellow wire which you connect...SO you are saying you take the yellow from the harness and connect to the red wire on the navi and vice versa from the navi to the harness??

Thanks...sorry in advance.

Two Questions guys.

1) I ordered the Euro Antenna Adapter (Euro female to Motorola male) and it will not connect into the antenna on the crossfires end. Any suggestions?

2) It also looks like I need a dash kit in order to put my Avic n-1 in the place of the old radio. It looks like it will just go right in. Any suggestions?

Thanks!!!

Did you ever get an answer to your question about an ipod connector for the oem unit with navigation? If so, what was the answer?:-)

I buy the connector anyways to give it a try. Took about 30 minutes to install the new head unit and it works great. I took it back to show the Best buy tech and he just scratch his head and said they told us it would not work. That's why I love this forum, you learn a lot of good information and mods.
Hmmm.... I went and talked to a Best Buy tech last night before I started reading this thread and they told me I needed a wire harness for '99 and up landrover.
