Default For those with Pioneer DEH-PXXXX stereo

Another toy. I just installed Pioneer steering wheel mounted remote. I know I am getting lazy where I don't even want to reach out to the radio. It does just about everything I want to do without taking my hands off the steering wheel. The model number is CD-SR100. It is supposed to work with any Pioneer headunit with DEH-PXXX PXXXX models. I know several of members has changed to Pioneer headunit. I love it.

Yep, and it will work with just about every Pioneer Headunit that has a wireless remote already.

I have a bunch of them brand new, just sitting around...

Eracer76. Are you in the business? I mean car stereo/car modification business. Just curious. Are those remotes sitting around because it is not a good product or people not knowing about it like our XF?
For me, it works flawlessly. I have a DEH-770MP headunit with Sirius and iPod converter. Other than inability to display ipod's description, I am pretty happy with this setup.

That looks like a pretty good investment for $39.95 - Crutchfield is out of stock but they should be in soon...

Eracer, are you selling them?

The remotes are fine, I am in the car audio business so that's why I have some extras.

I know for sure I have two brand new ones, never been used.
They are the same remote as pictured above, but they have a different part number on the back. I'm thinking because they were the ones that came with head units, but it is the same remote.
All the Pioneer remotes that I've seen work on the same frequency anyway, and will work all Pioneer head units.

I'll sell these two that I have for $25 each, shipping included in the USA if anyone wants one.
They go for $39 on Crutchfield and around $35 on ebay plus shipping.

I paid $41 including shipping from Cardomain.com. $25 is a steal. I wish I knew about Eracer before I made the purchase.

Eracer (or porterhouse),

I noticed in the pictures that porterhouse took that he mounted it in the lower corner. Do you think the infrared will hit the receiver if it's mounted above the horn, instead of below it? It just looks like it would be easier to control from that position.

Any potential airbag problems?

Paypal sent - looking forward to a new toy...

It will probably work fine up there too. You'll just have to try it out.

I still have one more new one left for $25 shipped in the states.

If anyone is interested, you can download a copy of the owner's Manual from Crutchfield.

Gibsonjunkie, I considered that 2 o'clock position also. However, it blocks some of the instrument panel. Try it out and see if it bothers you. As far as frequency working from 2 o'clock position, it should work fine. The volume control on the back of the remote is the best feature.

Thumbs up Re: For those with Pioneer DEH-PXXXX stereo

Eracer76 came through in spades!!! It arrived Saturday afternoon and I had it installed in about 5 minutes. I opted for the lower quadrant, just like porterhouse. It works great...

This remote is good. I just installed it and it works well with my Pioneer.

If anyone is interested in a pioneer head unit with the xm receiver unit I have one you can take off my hands cheap. I pulled it out of my son-in-law SUV before he turned it back in at the end of the lease. It worked great when I removed it and has been sitting in my garage for a year.
