Default problems with volume control

Yesterday I went for the first ride of the spring (crossfire had been in storage) and the battery was dead. I got it jumped and now the volume control on the radio will not work. Read the manual and pushed the cc button, thinking I had muted the sound. Nothing. The display works fine, station changes, cd everything except no volume. What do you think is wrong?

Presumably stuff is visible on the screen - it lights up, displays radio station etc?
If the answer is no, check a fuse.

I had this same problem. My CD time would be counting and everything. I don't think its an issue with the CC or telephone mute. I think its a malfunction. I was happening to me when i first bought mine, but it stopped on its own after about a week. Sorry i don't have a fix, but i was told its a malfunction and needs to be replaced.
