Being honest, I would trust another XFIRE owner that has installed it over anyone else who claims to know anything about our cars

Just bought the same unit with a backup camera and the jvc ipod connectivity kit...the deck alone looks complicated to me I think I gonna have to do a professional install on this for sure. Since this deck has an av input i figured put in a backup camera with this as well cause of the poor visibility we have on these when backing up. Since i gotta work it will be another 3 weeks before i can get this installed though.

You might consider the VALOR DVD NVG-720W as an alternbative unit. The price is about the same but the GPS display is so much larger and adjustable. I had one installed with the reverse camera and am very pleased with the whole system.

Looks like a nice unit...But...will I be able to see the display with the top down?? After I had the Pioneer installed in my Roadster the dealer at the audio shop told me that most of the digital displays would not be visible when i had the top down.
Don't want to spend another $800/$900 to find out I can't change the stations unless I cover the display with my free hand!!

I have the Kenwood (I don't remember the model off hand and I am in Cape Coral this weekend) w/DVD, gps nav and an add on Satilite Sirius. It is a flip up screen and I have not had any problem with the top down, which is basically everyday, regarding the sun. I have had it for over a year and I think I paid around 2K for it including installation at Best Buy. My daughter has the flip up Pioneer w/DVD, nav GPS and Sirius sat.

Rmaderman: good to hear about no problems with the top down in the sun. Do you know what model of Pioneer your daughter has? Nice to know that there are some radios out there that can defeat the glare from the sun, the audio shop I got my Pioneer for my first roadster didn't think I could find one that would work with the top down.

Hi Guys new srt6 owner here very happy with the car just need to fix the ic collant pump and separate cooling and should be fine.. any ways i have been looking high and low for a matching silver nav system that preferably was not a flip out screen so no luck with that the best that i found was the NX5000 from JVC over all has pretty good reviews... one big complaint was the map was very outdated.... GOOD NEWS!!! i called NavTeq and they released a 2010 new map update

NAVTEQ - Digital Road Map for North America KD-NX5000 Version 2 - KD-NX5000

but it costs $139.00 but its better than not having an updated map... I was wondering if any one was interested in splitting the costs for the map I could order it and then make DVD backups and split the costs by each person who owns an nx5000, which seems like a few here and there...

if you don't own one i know where to get them for less than $400 + $110 for the blue tooth option..

well any ways im getting the system because i cant have this car and not have NAV its my daily driver... if your interested let me know and we can set something up...if you have been searcing for a nav system that doesnt have flip out screen that covers everything this seems to be the best one...
