As a new owner, I've found at times when I start the car, I hear a fast "clicking" sound from the radio, very fast, and it last's for about 5 seconds. I have a CD in, and the radio says Chrysler, but I dont know if the unit is on, maybe. It's no big deal, but why does it come on now and then. The radio/cd works fine,but I think its a POS, any thoughts?

 

Are you sure it's from the CD player and not the Vent https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...ad.php?t=19055 this is a issue on the SLK's also
servo motor vent arm could be broken.


Aren't Becker Head units supose to be a quality radio? I do know the Displays can go bad on you.

 

My 04 does this too sometimes. It is only when a CD is in the deck too. I don't concern myself over it though cause everything works correctly.

 

Sometimes it clicks if a CD is in the changer when you start it up. Eject and re-insert and it will stop.
