Few questions..

Do you have a base roadster or a limited/srt6?

Base xfire's do not have a factory amp while limited/srt6 do.

Also, where are you planning on putting your sub? There's a metal plate in your truck which basically negates any bass...

it is a base roadster, i made a small box for my 10" sub i just want somethin i was gonna put it all the way to the front of the trunk toward the seats under the flap that folds up and down for the top, you don't think it would amount to anything?, or should i just replace door speakers to better ones.

I have a 10" Rockford Fosgate in a folded horn box pushed against the seats and passenger wheel well and it has a ton of bass. To get the amp to work on the stock deck you will need a hi to low level converter. How it works is: You will tap into the wires that go to your speakers and it will go into a box to convert, on the other side of the box are RCA connectors to hook up the RCA cables. They are $15-$20 & they got them at walmart or anyplace that has car audio equipment...

you agian, lol, helpin me out all over, i ordered the inmotion by the way, and pulled my ecu out wasn't bad at all, but anyway so i have a ten that fits up to my back seats but my car is a roadster unlike yours and i guess there is a metal plate behind my seats and that i won't hear the sub i dunno, im thinking about just replacing the speakers in it with sick alpine speakers or something, but with the line converter i would just tap into my speaker wire somewhere and it goes into and out of a box then i run rca's off it into my amp? i might try it and see how it sounds and get the speakers inside, your car is a hatch right?, i bet it slams in there

Yeah that's what the forum is here for man. Ohh yeah roadster I don't really know how that would be, but you could try. Or yeah you could replace the stock subs for a little bit more bass... I don't think that I explained the low lever converter very good I apologize.

Here is a pic:
Now the 4 small wires on the bottom tap into the stock speaker outputs from the back of the deck. It then converts the signal to RCA outputs, in which you connect to the amp.

yeah i think i am going to go get one tomorrow and hook it up, i remember going to best buy when i first got my car and asking them if i could do this and they told me something stupid like i couldn't because of the factory head unit has some digital something don't remember what they called it, do you have a deck in your car, are there wiring harnesses out and everything for a direct plug in with new decks and dash kits and what not for an easy install. I am sort of thinking about just getting a sweet deck.

Yeah they have the harness you need and you will also need an antenna adapter. You don't need any kind of dash kit. Best Buy sales men and installers are retards they want you to buy a new deck, they will tell you whatever they can to get you to buy one. I have a fold out DVD player in mine that I got off of ebay for cheep I enjoy it. The only thing that is hard about the whole project is taking the stock one out without the removal keys. So if you can find someone to let you use there removal keys it will be a really fast install.

yeah i read about that removal key thing, i have been looking into some decks and door speakers and speakers for behind my seats, i think i am gonna do that it should sound good if i get some good components with woofers ,tweaters, and crossovers. i am planning on going alpine i believe for the speakers. ill try that out then see if i need a sub in the trunk. Most likely break down and buy a new nice deck too. I was stupid and let my kenwood go in my srt-4 when i sold it.

If you have a base roadster you shouldn't have any speaker behind the seats NOR an amplifier ??

Also, do a search for bass on a roadster - from what i've read unless you put the box in your car (not your trunk) it will basically negate any bass.

Do a search and plenty of others have tried.

yeah i have been told that the sub in the trunk wont do it im actually headed out the door right now to go look for some good *** door speakers that will pound and sound good, gonna get alpine probable 3 way speaker with the woofer, mid and tweeter. i didn't think there was speakers behind my seats either but the websites i looked at last night were saying there were speakers behind the seats on the roadsters too. i haven't gotten around to looking but no i don't believe there is.

If you would have looked a little further down the page, or done a search you would have come up with this.

If you have any questions PM me.

There are limited roadsters, and base roadters.

Limited's have rear speakers, base (yours) roadsters do not. Easiest way is to check ??

Hey tjames.bell@gmail.com,

Can you post some pics and info on your folded horn enclosure? I'd love to see what you have going on there... I have never seen this type of enclosure used in a vehicle as small as the crossfire!

I have been trying to figure out the best placement and enclosure type for my install...
