Speed Sensitive Volume ?
Is there a X-fire feature that automaticallly adjusts audio volume to the speed of the vehicle in either the coupe or roadster ? By that I mean as you speed up or slow down the volume of the music increases or decreases automatically. I've heard it both ways.. yes there is no there isn't. If so, can the feature be turned on and off ? and if so how ? . . . . Inquiring minds need to know.
My dealer seems to think it is speed sensitive - he said it is connected to the same module? as the spoiler. I am having a problem with the volume changing -mostly at low speeds. They have tried to find the problem but it is intermittent so they couldn't diagnose - too late for warranty anyway but thought I might get them to buck up since I just bought it in November. wouldnt cover the seat heater either
- love the car but glad that I have the powertrain warranty left. Hopefully I won't need it.
Our roadster does and coupe doesn't. That's not to say it's not a feature they all have and controlling it is not covered in the manual.

I really try to never let that happen, I'm not sure if mine even work.

Have driven Audi's a Jags for the past 15 years and both have speed adjusting radios - ao I haven't really noticed, guess I have become accustomed to it - and when the top is down - the radio is ALWAYS UP
I'm glad someone else hears the adjustment in volume besides me. I can hear it plainly - but it is very subtle. Passengers claim they can not hear
any difference.
One option that I like in my other car is that the volume will automatically readjust when you shut off the car. That means when you were rockin' out on a good song at full volume before you turned the car off, it won't come back on that loud and scare the crap out of you when you start the car.

OK. . by reading these responses I'm getting the clear idea that it does exist on both the roadster and the coupe. I'm also getting the impression there is no on or off controls for it, it's just there. It must be one of those very subtle enahancemets that eludes me.
There is speed sensitive volume on our cars... The circuitry is built in to the amplifier, not the radio... Infinity should be able to verify this for us.... When I first changed out my OEM CD player for the Blaupunkt, I still had the slight volume up/down based on RPM's and speed.... Also, to my knowledge, the speed sensitive volume circuit also compensates/adjusts the amplifiers internal equalizer as well....
Hope this helps...
