ANyway, after hearing that people were gaining the alarm chirp after having their siren replaced under warranty, I decided to purchase the part thay said was being put in, Chrysler Part# 5124443AA. I replaced my siren today, and YES! I NOW HAVE CHIRP! When I are the alarm, it chirps 3 times (2 if a door is ajar) and chirps once when unlocked. I will say it again, I HAVE CHIRP. All that is needed is to replace your siren with the new one. I took pictures of the 2 so you can see the difference. The new one is the one that says BOSCH on it, and the old one does not. The new one is also louder than my old one. It took me 30 minutes to replace the siren (which is mounted under the cowl by the way, you will need a set of security torx bits, the ones with a hole in the middle) but I'm used to taking cars apart. So...
IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR TO CHIRP, REPLACE YOUR SIREN WITH PART#5124443AA.
Again, IF YOU WANT YOUR CAR TO CHIRP, REPLACE YOUR SIREN WITH PART#5124443AA.
No-need for non-factory add-ons.

the AA has been superseded by the AB which is the Mercedes replacement part at $100 more than the AA. The AB will require you to provide a nut to put it in with. See my earlier post:
AND the discovery by HOT WHEELS:
I have the the 5124443AB
The photos of both the old siren and the new 512443AA show a threaded hole for a stud. The one I've attached has a stud.
I installed the new alarm today and it functions exactly as described...I have "chrip"
I did have to find a nut for the new siren, but otherwise it works as described! The only downside, if you want to call it that, is that the security bolt is no longer used, but I figure if a thief is getting that far into my car he/she would have a security torx set anyway.
I used a battery post puller to take off the wiper blades. Marked where they went with tape before total removal, though.

Hey everybody, I'm new to the forum and its very helpful. My siren does not work at all where is it located. I'm going to need pretty clear instructions to where it is? Im going to attempt to replace myself. Wish me luck
I just now stumbled across this thread and god, I wish I was sooner. One of the things I didn't like on my '07 was the lack of a chirp for the alarm. $150!? Screw that.
If someone can find/get me one cheaper, I'd be all over it.

Hi Guys,
does someone has a soundclip for the new installed siren?
Because I want to install such a "chirp" by locking - unlocking the doors.
Such a exact sound like all the US cars have.
I know this lock-sound from a dodge journey (I drove last year as a rental car)
I think THIS is the real chirp sound from us cars, isn't it?
thank you!
