Default TSB for Factory Radio

Okay, I have a 2004 Coupe with the original factory radio with the negative display (Green characters on black background). It washes out in any kind of light.

Found the TSB and took it to my dealer. He told me he researched it and that my car wasn't covered.

WTF? I thought they were all covered. Am I missing something or is my dealer trying to duck something?

Do you still have a warranty? If you if you don't they won't fix it.

Yeah, I purchased the Max Care warranty as the dealer is well aware since he fixed my seat heaters.

There is probably nothing wong with the radio. The negative can be changed to a positive display through the radio's buttons. I forget which one - look in the manual.
